Just a bit of trivia..... before Shirley married Will Cohron, she was with Buck and Dotty Rambo as the original Gospel Echoes. I have one of their first albums -- "The Gospel Echoes sing the songs of Big Chief Jim Wetherington."

sorry to thoes how think this song is from 1888 this vrisgen was wrote by a man in Dayton OHIO in 1967 it was for his daughter to sing and she was not able to hit the high notes like the song was intened to have I know this because GOD gave it too me because she was unable was to do it. nor did Shirley Cohron wright it she copy it .like a lot of other peopel did.
