My grandmother passed away yesterday and we have found a hymn or part of a hymn in her purse it is as follows.

"Hes the same today as yesterday, my great unchanging friend.
He's the same today as yesterday, just the same unto the end,

By his mighty power he holds me, in his arms of love enfolds me,
He's the same today as yesterday, my great unchanging friend."

I was looking for hymn origins (Possibly S.A. CT Robinson) and if this is the full lyrics to the song.

Your help would be most appreciated

He's the same today as yesterday, My great unchanging friend

V1 There's a friend that changeth never, always constant always true:
And his tenderness unfailing is as fragrant as the dew
is as fragrant as the dew

Chorus

V2 and his wondrous name is Jesus, Mighty guardian of his own,
his all seeing eye is watching from his place beside the throne
from his place beside the throne

Its from a SA music book entitled Revival songs, i borrowed a copy to send you the words

Chorus

V3 as the days gone by have proven, so the future days will be,
though the scenes around are changing, he remaineth constantly
he remaineth constantly

He's the same today as yesterday, My great unchanging friend
