Jesus I Love You
Does anyone know the song that has the phrase "Jesus, I love you more than silver?" This song was written in the 40s or 50s.
Jesus I Love You
I know this one
Lord you are more precious than silver
Lord you are more costly than gold
Lord you are more beautiful than diamonds
And nothing I desire compares with you
that's as close as i could come.
Lord you are more precious than silver
Lord you are more costly than gold
Lord you are more beautiful than diamonds
And nothing I desire compares with you
that's as close as i could come.
Jesus I Love You
No, sorry, that's not what I'm looking for.
Jesus, I love you more than silver
Silver that nailed You to the tree
that's all I know
Jesus, I love you more than silver
Silver that nailed You to the tree
that's all I know
Jesus I Love You
did you ever find the words to this song? i have been thinking about this song, but i do not know the words, either.
Jesus I Love You
You can google it as I did and hear it sung in both english and Hawaiian.
Jesus I Love You
Thanks
Jesus I Love You
Jesus, I love you
Lord, more than silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
For a jingle of sillver, Judas sold the Son of Man
And for a jingle of silver man will do the same again
Lord, more than silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
For a jingle of sillver, Judas sold the Son of Man
And for a jingle of silver man will do the same again
Jesus I Love You
Here's what little I can remember of it . . . .
Jesus I love you, more than silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
But I'll not forsake you, no, not for silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
For a handful of silver, Judas sold the son of man
For a handful of silver, man will do the same again
But I'll not forsake you, no, not for silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
It was late in the evening, just past supper
When Judas betrayed the son of God
He went to the high priest, they gave him silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross.
Jesus I love you, more than silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
But I'll not forsake you, no, not for silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
For a handful of silver, Judas sold the son of man
For a handful of silver, man will do the same again
But I'll not forsake you, no, not for silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross
It was late in the evening, just past supper
When Judas betrayed the son of God
He went to the high priest, they gave him silver
Silver that nailed you to the cross.
Re: Jesus I Love You
Here's an address to Cowboy Copas singing it on an album entitled 'Hymns and Sacred Songs'. https://www.letssingit.com/cowboy-copas ... ss-1rbhgs6 The Bill Gaither Trio also did a rendition of the song but it didn't quiet sound the same to me as I remembered the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2Ol0woeIb8 The album was The Bill Gaither Trio...in retrospect. I have wondered about the words to this song for a long, long time. Our choir director had our tiny choir sing this song for an Easter service back in the early 70's. I really enjoyed the song but with time I had forgotten the exact words. (Hope you get this message since it's been years since the last posting.)
Re: Jesus I Love You
The actual name of the song is Silver. Some friends of mine used to sing it in churches when we went around playing gospel music.
