I sang this song in grade school and would like to find the author and additional verses.
He who is noble, kind in thought and action, faithful to duty, pure and single-hearted, needs not a weapon, needs not man to guard him, virtue defends him. What though he journey o'er the burnning desert, what though he journey o'er unfriendly mountains. Waking or sleeping, though by death surrounded, virtue defends him. Thank you for any assistance.

Re: He who is noble Hymn search
I cannot figure out how to post an image but I did find a reference to this hymn in The Golden Book of Favorite Songs: Community Collection 1985, searching on google books & searching inside that book.
The hymn is a translation of two stanza from Horace's XXII Ode from the latin & is "often sung to the tune Praise for Peace". It is referred to as Integer Vitae in the Golden Book.
