Nearing the Shore Lyrics

Post by Guest » Thu Apr 13, 2006 8:56 pm

I see the lights of that city so fair,
Of my home sweet home.

Chorus:
We're nearing the shore, we're nearing the shore
Troubles soon will be over, we'll suffer no more,
Toiling all done, victory won, Tis a joy to know,
That we're nearing the shore.

I see the light house, Jesus divine,
Who will say welcome, dear children of mine,
Come in and rest, in this land so fair,
Tis a joy to know that we're nearing the shore.
Repeat Chorus:

Tag:
Tis a joy to know that we're nearing the shore.

Does anyone know the song " Glory Road."

My Grandma used to sing me a song and now she is dead i am dying to find the song, i dont know the name of it but it says something like:

That little boy that followed me, sometimes he climbed up on my knee, O help me lord to care for thee That little boy that followed me.

I will sing the wondrous story of the Christ who died for me
How he left his home in glory for the cross of Calvary
Chorus:
Yes I'll sing the wondrous story of the Christ who died for me
Sing it with the saints in glory
Gathered by the crystal sea.

I was lost but Jesus found me, found the sheep that went astray
Threw His loving arms around me, drew me back into His way

I was bruised but Jesus healed me, faint was I from manya fall
Sight was gone and fears possessed me, but he freed me from them all

Days of darkness still come o'er me, sorrow's ppaths I often tread
But the Savior still is with me, by His hand I'm safely led.

Does any one know the lyrics and who sang this song? I heard it on a Christian radio station nearly ten years ago, but the station is no longer operating and I would like to hear this song again. The only words I can remember are:

"I see the cloud, getting ready to rain, it's gonna come pouring down;
well, when, I don't know, but God said it so..."

Seems like the family was called the Brady's, but again, it's been so long ago.
