does the song you are looking for go like this:
When I think I'm going under part the waters Lord
When I feel the waves around me calm the sea
When I cry for help oh hear me Lord
And hold out your hand
Touch my life still the raging storm in me.If this in fact it we have the soundtrack to it. Just let me know.

Part The Waters
When I think I'm going under, part the waters, Lord.
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea.
When I cry for help, O hear me, Lord, and hold out Your hand.
Touch my life, still the raging storm in me.

Knowing You love me through the burden I must bear,
Hearing Your footsteps lets me know I'm in Your care,
And in the night of my life You bring the promise of day,
Here is my hand, show me the way.

Knowing You love me helps me face another day.
Hearing Your footsteps drives the clouds and fear away;
And in the tears of my life I see the sorrow You bore,
Here is my pain, heal it once more.

When I think I'm going under, part the waters, Lord.
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea.
When I cry for help, O hear me, Lord, and hold out Your hand.
Touch my life, still the raging storm in me.

I'm looking for a copy of the original song. Who wrote it? Anita somebody? Not Selah and it's the version you mention, not the one with I need thee every hour.

I have an LP by EVIE with this song on it. I do not have access to it right now, but would be glad to check the label of the LP for the writer.

25 years ago I was in a youth choir, our choir book had a yellow cover (if my memory is correct) and this song was in that book. Along with MANY MANY favorites that I can't remember more than a quick jingle to. If anyone knows of this song book please let me know.

I was under the impression that this was sung by the pederson trio??? Pederson sisters???? I have looked for it for a long time - see the results for others singing it but I cannot find the one album I'm looking for - can anyone help? They also sang a song - Don't say no to Jesus......

The only time I heard it was around 1977. The person who wrote the words above is fairly close. I heard a couple at my church rehearse it over and over during one week, and then they sang it during the long New Years Eve service that year. Unfortunately, they moved to Alaska and I haven't been able to find them to see who the original artist is on the soundtrack. I'm hoping someone remembers, along with the real words.
