Hi Cje. This is what I could find...let me know if it comes close :)

1.
Twilight is stealing over the Sea,
Shadows are Falling dark on the lea;
Borne on the night winds, voices of yore,
Come from the far-off shore.

2.
Voices of loved ones! Songs of the past!
Still linger round me while life shall last
Sadly I wander, Lonely I roam,
Seeking that far-off home.

3.
Far away beyond the starlit skies,
Where the love-light never, never dies,
Gleameth a mansion filled with delight,
Sweet happy home so bright!

4.
Come in the Twilight, Come, come to me!
Bringing some message over the sea;
Cheering my pathway while here I roam,
Seeking that far-off home.

God bless,
Steve

That's it, looked many years for it. Now if I can find " while ages roll " . Some of the chorus is
" while the ages roll, I'll put my ______ in him and
my _________will never tire or grow old, and my song will ever be, praise the lamb who died for me, and I'll sing it while ages shall roll.

Does anyone know a song with this phrase

bright footsteps or bright pathway?

My dad is in hospital and we have been singing old songs. I remember this phrase but can't put a title to it. He has been diagnosed with cancer and they don't give him much time. He was choir director for years at our church and still loves to sing but its harder for him to recall the words. However, I still love to hear him.

WHILE AGES ROLL
SOMEDAY THIS STAMM-RING TONGUE WILL FALTER NO MORE, AND A GRANDER, SWEETER, SONG I SHALL SING; FOR I'LL JOIN THE RANSOMED
CHOIR ON HEAVEN'S BRIGHT SHORE, FOR EVER TO PRAISE THE KING

CHORUS:

AND WHILE THE AGES ROLL, I'LLKEEP ON PRAISING HIM, AND MY VOICE WILL NEVER TIRE OR GROW OLD. AND MY SONG SHALL EVER BE
"PRAISE THE LAMB WHO DIED FOR ME" AND I'LL SING IT WHILE THE AGES SHALL ROLL.

WHEN A MILLION YEARS HAVE PASSED IN THAT WONDERFUL PLACE, MY SONG OF PRAISE WILL JUST HAVE BEGUN;FOR MY JOY WILL NEVER END
WHILE I LOOK ON HIS FACE, AND MY SONG SHALL NEVER BE DONE.

REPEAT CHORUS
