Verse 1:
I'm not super lucky. I'm in this by design
Salvation for my soul was God's idea, not mine.
So a Lamb was slain and blood was spilled
Before the worlds were framed.
To purchase my salvation, to curse sin's guilt and shame.
Chorus:
I've been blood bought, I've been mercy sought
When I stumbled in the arms of love, I was caught
I've been hell fought, but I've been truth taught
And I know that I can make it 'cause I'm blood bought
(Repeat Chorus)
Verse 2:
Three men hung of crosses upon Mount Calvary
One chose condemnation, and one chose clemency
But on the middle cross with a crown of thorns
Hung the hope of liberty, when He cried, "It is finished!"
The debt was paid for me.
