It was written by Merritt Ford. My late grandfather. I never got to meet him due to him passing away before I was born. Merritt Ford was from Indiana. Wish I could have met him.

I had sang this song since I was in my teens and I'm now 60. In due time the words I had typed down for it got lost so I am really glad to find this site and the words to "God Took Away My Yesterdays" and to find out who wrote it and when. He left a good heritage to his family with the writing of this song.

My dad, Joe, knew Merritt and thought very highly of him. Evidently he hired him to work at a gas station he was managing in the 50's or 60's. He would like to contact his son Roger or Ronny, he is not sure of the name. If the grandchild guest could reply I would appreciate it.
