Hymn Lyrics Search - Name That Hymn

This is not the Jimmy Owens song. Some yeas ago we sang it on communion Sunday. This is all I remember...."Take it, eat it, andwhen you do remember me.

I'm looking for the same song, I think. I think I know the title, but it's not much help because the title is "The Communion Song" and other songs have that title. I can't find the one I'm looking for.

I think I even remember that it was composed and sung by Jani (Janny? Jenny? Janni?) Gries (Gries? Grice?). Her last name rhymes with "ice" -- Grice. Because I don't know the spelling of either her first or last name, I can't find her on the internet. But the song was so simple and so dear, that I think it's the same song you're looking for. I heard it on the radio in about 1985 or so.
