I hope this is the one your looking for. God Bless!

He Brought Me In

Verse:1
The gentle sun is going down,
men's heart's are failing the world around,
our blessed Lord soon come again,
oh I thank God he brought me in.

Chorus:
He brought me in, he brought me in,
oh I thank God, he brought me in,
just look out yonder where I have been,
oh I thank God he brought me in.

Verse:2
Just when I felt like, all hope was gone,
just when I dreaded to face the dawn,
my soul was sinking because of sin,
but just in time he brought me in.

Verse: 3
Just like old David in the day of old,
in the miry clay there was my soul,
from an horrible tempest he brought me out,
on the solid rock now I'll sing and shout.

The correct phrase that begins the first verse is "Gentile sun" rather than gentle sun.

I have been singing this song since I was a little girl. My Dad taught it to me. The correct word is the Gentile Sun, not gentle.
I am a southern gospel singer, this is one that I do, although I have never heard the last verse listed above. I think I will learn & sing that as well.. Sounds good.

The gentile sun, now, is going down.
Men's hearts are failing, this world around.
Our blessed Lord will, soon come again.
Well I I thank God, he brought me in.

He brought me in, he brought me in.
I thank God, he brought me in
Just look out younder where I have been.
Well I thank God, he brought me in

Just when I felt like, all hope was gone.
Just when I dreaded, to face the dawn.
My heart was failing, because of sin.
Oh, but just in time, he brought me in.

I learned it just a little bit different than the one listed above..,

He brought me in , from the fields of sin, with a hand of mercy, He brought me in, Just look out yonder , where i have been , oh I praise God , HE brought me in.
[email protected] , I love this song and got really choked up when the line just look out yonder came up . I got born again in 1989 and we only sang the chorus . I am seeing the verses here for the first time . God bless y'all .
