It was a little tough finding this one due to the more ubiquitous hymn that starts with the same lyrics, but I believe the song you're thinking of was sung by the Rochesters. Here's a link to their album on Amazon (the track title is "I'll Be There").

Brighter Day

Here are the lyrics to this very beautiful song!

1.
I planned a lot of things that I did not do,
And I dreamed a lot of dreams that never came true;
But I've got my reservations to that land beyond compare,
And when the roll is called up yonder, praise God I'll be there.

Chorus
And it's not what I've done but what Jesus did for me,
It's not where I go to church, but I've been to Calvary;
So if I go by the grave or are caught up in the air,
When the roll is called up yonder, praise God I'll be there.

2.
There used to be a time I was afraid ?
That the timing of the Lord was surely drawing near;
But now I'm longing for that day when I bow before the Lamb,
And when the roll is called up yonder, I'm gonna shout "Here I Am!"

Thanks!

Does any one know where I could get the sheet music for this song? I have been looking for a few songs and I can't seem to find many.
