I rarely edit messages on this board, but because "Guest" posted some very derisive and borderline libelous accusations against this artist without citing any facts to back up his statements, I decided to remove his comment. This site is for hymn sharing and while we might have the occasional debate in certain threads, let's keep it civil and fact-based please.
Thanks to the original poster for how you handled that. Here are the lyrics to this song.
She was barely sixteen,
They said he was too young to be a dad
Everyone in that small town except that boy's father was mad
The odds were against a little newborn baby child
But those wise men believed in the star that hangs in the sky
Chorus
Do you know Jesus?
He's not a little baby anymore;
He's over 200 pounds,
And he stands about 6 foot 4;
That nativity scene you see,
That's only the the way it used to be long before;
Jesus, He's not a little baby anymore.
My God Jesus, He's not a little baby anymore
Now she's barely sixteen and the apple of her grandpa's eyes
although I tried to hide it, sometimes that little girl sees me cry
they say time heals the broken heart of a mortal man
but it'll never take away those nail scars in his hands
Repeat Chorus 2x
Thanks,
Steve
