Looking for an old hymn that my grandma sang before she passed away

My grandma used to take me to church with her when I was little, and I remember sitting and watching her sing. She passed away two years ago unexpectedly and I've been looking for the song she sang but can't find it anywhere. I remember a lot of the lyrics, so if anyone could help me fill them in, I'd be really grateful!
Here are the bits and pieces that I can remember:
Chorus/ I kneel with Him in prayer each evening. He always puts my mind at ease. He knows and helps me with my troubles, and when I pray, he's always there with me.
*The first verse was something like "before I close my eyes *something something* I thank him for *something something*
Second verse was "they pierced his side and *something something*
Unfortunately that's all I remember and no one has been able to fill in the gaps yet.
