looking for lyrics for song that goes- tucked away somewhere in the corner of your heart there are memories of father and home. let your mind go back to his tender loving care and rise up my son and go home. please... hope someone know this song.
I just saw this site and it is more than 12 years later, but I know about that song. It was sung on the Canadian show, Tribal Trails, by Bill and Shirley Jackson. I believe these lyrics are accurate:
There you stand with the husks to feed the swine
Looking good enough for you to eat
Don’t you know your father longs for your return
Why do you still sit there in the fields
chorus
Tucked away somewhere in the corner of your heart
There are memories of father and home
Let your mind go back to the Father’s loving care
And rise up my son and go home.
There he stands gazing out across the fields
Longing eyes are searching everywhere
Oh my son, turn your steps toward your home
Loving arms are waiting for you there.
