At This Table We Are One

We are one in the breaking of the bread.
We are one in the sacred cup we share.
Tho' our stories are as different as the names that we bear,
on this day, at this table, we are one.

1. Our God is love,
and they who live in love, live in God
and God in them.
(Chorus)

2. Love is of God,
and everyone who loves is of God
and knows God.
(Chorus)

3. Love then is this:
Not that we have loved God,
but God has first loved us.
If God has loved us so,
then we must have the same love for one another;
we must have the same love.
