Another line may have been something similar to

"When the man of Galilee hung upon the cruel tree".

I don't think that was the song. I may have had the wording wrong.
I think the correct wording may be

"When the blood came dripping down, from the cross to the ground. There was one drop just for me."

Could it be "Love grew where the blood fell" ?
