Don`t know who wrote or year but I`m now 70 yr old and remember as a youngster hearing this song.. about every sat. night back then neighbors and friends gathered and played these great old gospel songs.

My Dear Grandmother had alzheimers, and when she remembered NOTHING she would sing this song word for word. She was a minister's daughter and later, a minister's wife. Thanks for posting she was born in 1907
