My friend who sings this told me it was from an old gospel song, written by somone called leanne bryant or o'bryant but I can find NOTHING for it anywhere! and not even a hint, so I am hoping that someone on this forum can please help. I have looked in old hymns, American hymns, church hymns etc etc
By the wording, it suggests possibly mid-20th century to present day.
My friend loves Gospel music and was given the words to this about 15 years ago and sang it last week at a funeral, and had the mourners crying at the words that so aptly applied to the deceased.
She'd love to know the origins of it because whenever she sings it, people always ask about the song and she can never tell them about it.
