For years and years we've read about a mansion
We've heard of all it's beauty beyond compare
We've described the gates of pearl, we've even seen the river,
But let's take a tour of the things we won't see there.
I won't have to look outside my mansion's window
To see markers of loved ones, who have gone
Earthquakes won't come, flooding waters they won't run
and they'll be no more pain when Jesus takes us home
Sickness has taken some special friends
We've parted on this side of the shore
We've felt the tears of pain
Had the feelings ripped out our hearts
But their mansion's place in Heaven will be next door.
