Okay couldn't resist...

to: HEKEEPSME and to anyone who is unnecessarily picky. No one says the author has to be referring to a specific biblical quote. other written instance or time. Get off of the pages. Perhaps years later, after homecoming, when you are walking along with Jesus on streets of gold, awesome, could be THOUSANDS of years after the judgment has come and gone.

couple of other things for you to consider:

1) the angels do sing, so singing angels is a fine sentiment
2) the great white throne will always be in heaven, you could be around it with Jesus anytime

Lighten up scholars, and to: winka, hey great job, I could see myself singing your verse at any of those good old fashioned alter services my wife and I play at through alter calls. Yupp! Great sentiments. Good job.

I've been close friends of the Spencers my whole life. I believe Mr Lamb was a cousin to them..

to: singing in my soul
The Spencers did NOT write this song. It was written by the late Denver Lamb who died in 2010. I know because he was a dear friend of mine. When he had concerts, he didn't usually sing this song. Someone else would sing it.
This song did not have a third verse and altho winka's added third verse is pretty, but somewhat unscriptural, it is unfair to the author to add verses, seeing as how Mr. Lamb is in heaven and cannot speak for himself.

To Guest: the ratliff family could not have sung this song 30 years ago. It wasn't written until the early 1990's.

to HEKEEPSME: I have to agree with you. I have not found in the word any place where it says that the angels are singing. And you are right: only those whose names are not found in the Lamb's Book of Life will have to appear at the Great White Throne of Judgement. She should have said: "Around God's great throne."
