I have this hymn on an old cassette. The lyrics, as I can best hear and transcribe them, follow. I am searching for the title of this hymn:
I'm homesick for a city that I've never seen
Where the streets are made of pure gold
A place where no one ever dies
Children never cry
And no one ever grows old
(chorus)
Is there a land such as this
A place of such bliss
That could be more than a mortal could dream
Though I've never been there
I have met God in prayer
And it's more real than it even seems
From a child I have heard
From God's holy word
About a land beyond the sea
Sometimes I can't wait to run through the gate
Lift my hands and shout victory
(chorus)
Now it walked alone 'til I see this new home
That God has prepared for me
Where tears are dried, souls satisfied
And I'll live for eternity
(chorus)
