I OVERLOOKED THE SAVIOR
1. A story sad but oh, so true, that we have often heard,
The way our blessed Savior had to die;
Upon the cross between two thieves, He gave his life for you. Now you can go to Heaven if you try.
Cho:
I overlooked the Savior, while
Wandering out in sin,
Not thinking of the price I'd have to pay;
But one glad day while on my knees, I let my Savior in,
And now I go rejoicing on my way.
2. Sometimes we get discouraged, while we walk this weary way,
But Jesus said, He'd every burden bear,
So take Him all your troubles,
When it seems all hope is gone,
Just trust Him when you go to Him in prayer.
3. He rose the third day from the grave, triumphant o're the tomb,
And death was swallowed up in victory;
He's gone back to the Father a mansion to prepare.
But he promised He'd come back for you and me.
