I know I'm replying to a really old message thread, but I was also having trouble finding the sheet music for this song, even though I already knew the lyrics, so I decided to just pick it out by ear on the piano. I actually found it harder to get the rhythm right than to pick out the right notes. I can hear the rhythm in my head, but struggled to divide the measures in the right places and assign the right note values. But if anyone can take this and tweak it to improve upon what I did, be my guest. I've attached it here as a jpeg file. (And thanks to Sonny Salsbury for writing the song!)

In the upper room 12 men are sitting 'round the Lord.
As he calls to break the bread they hear him say,
"This is my body which is broken fo you,
And for you I've known the pain.
This cup you drink recalls my blood that is shed.
Please don't let it be in vain... in vain. (last time only)
The song is from Sonny Salisbury’s Breakfast In Galilee album. I too was searching for this music. I found the sheet music on Amazon today and purchased it. Feel free to contact me by email and I’ll see what I can do

It’s from a book of Christian songs called “Sing and Celebrate.” There are 2 volumes. We sang many in youth group in the late 70’s.

Can you tell me which volume number of Sing and Celebrate. It doesn't list the dates it lists the volume number. I have been looking for this song for over 30 years. Thank you.

I would love the music and lyrics. This was such a powerful communion song. I would love to share it with my new church family. I will gladly pay you for your time.
