I was out on life's ocean the stormy billow blows, no peace for my heart, no rest for my soul. Then Jesus came walking across my trouble sea and told me that he loved me and that he cared for me.

We used to sing this at my church and I have the overhead with the lyrics, but all it has is what you remember. I don't know if there are any more.
