I am looking for the words too Melissa. I remember a quartet singing this song when I was a little girl. But all I remember is the chorus too!

Child's Request

One day while in the country church I saw a scene so grand

a scene that touched me oh so deep within

a little girl was kneeling there, her bible in her hand

her little hands were placed beneath her chin

dear God I humbly kneel in prayer, I'm just a child you know

I'd like to make this one request today

I'd like to see my daddy saved before this meeting's through

so please dear God help daddy find his way

before my mother passed away she took me by the hand

with tear filled eyes she held me in her arms

her trembling voice was almost gone and then I heard her say

I would like to find the lyrics to the song above. I think the name if it is A Child's last request. It has these words in it. My mother took me by the hand and with tear filled eyes she pulled me in her arms. Her trembling voice was almost gone and then I heard her say, Please dear God keep my baby safe from harm.
