I have heard a song with the following first verse and chorus. I'd like to see if anyone knows who sings the song, if someone would have guitar chords for it, and the remaining words. I believe the song is called 10,000 Angels, but not the one done by LeAnn Rimes nor the traditional old gospel song either. The words are very different from either one of those.
Early one morning, when I awoke
People crying in the streets
I went to the window and what I saw
Touched me much too deep.
It was a man carrying a cross
Wreath of thorns on his head
I didn't know who he was
Till after his blood was shed
He could have called 10,000 angels
But he loved us too much
He could have called 10,000 angels
But he died for us.
