Hi Jeanne,
I found a couple of songs under He's My Hero in gospel hymns.
Are either of these the one you are looking for?
If not can you give us a few more hints as to which song you are requesting?
You're the king over everything
Son of God, you're here and you'll never leave
You're the truth and I believe
I was lost til I found you and you found me
Now I won't quiet down, no
I've gotta shout it out (everybody hear that...)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh oh)
You'll never let me go
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Light of the world and now I see
With open eyes my future waiting for me
You make the world a star to the end
And in the end it's you that I can depend
Now I won't quiet down, no
I've gotta shout it out (everybody hear that...)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh oh)
You'll never let me go
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh oh)
You'll never let me go
Hey ho - he's my hero
Hey ho - he's my hero
Hey ho - he's my hero
Everybody hear that he's my hero
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh)
Jesus is my hero (oh oh oh oh oh oh)
You'll never let me go
Jesus is my hero (no I won't quiet down)
Jesus is my hero (I've gotta shout it out)
Jesus is my hero (you're my hero now)
You'll never let me go
Jesus is my hero (no I won't quiet down)
Jesus is my hero (I've gotta shout it out)
Jesus is my hero (you're my hero now)

Everyone needs a hero to look to
Though many have passed away
Like Abraham Lincoln and great men as he
But there's just one hero for me
CHORUS
Jesus, He is my hero
and though great men have lived
there's none greater than Him
It's been 2000 years since they laid Him away
but my hero still lives today
Pages of history record all the heroes
And the battles that they did win
O but none conquered death or hell & the grave
Like my hero when HE rose again
