I think it goes like this:
Momma never missed a Sunday,
She attended faithfuly, to the church down by the river,
Where she always prayed for me and
In her arms she held a bible,
with her name engraved in gold.
Give to her from Daddy, just before God called him home.
She'd say, life is a journey that we travel through the years.
Down the tender valley's, through the laughter and the tears.
So take the road thats narrow, and if you should ever stray.
Just remember Momma's Bible, it will help you find your way.
Chorus)
Mama's Bible she'd say to me
Will be your anchor on stormy seas
In times of troubles in times of need
In Mama's Bible always believe.
There were nights that I'd come home late, to find her in her favorite chair.
Reading from her bible, talking to the Lord in prayer.
When her tears are just a memory, her love will never die.
Cause I read in Momma's bible that some day we'll never say goodbye.
Chorus)
In Momma's bible allways believe.
