. One Look To His Left
A family was walking toward the temple from Nazareth to Jerusalem
Mary and Joseph with their little boy, to offer their yearly lamb
I wonder if Jesus looked out toward His left, His eyes fixed on Calvary
And said on that hill My Father will set the captive free
Then on the cross, bleeding and dying 'mid shouts of anger and rage
Jesus was hanging between two thieves; both different as the night from day
One thief was scoffing, said save Yourself. The other for mercy cried
Jesus was blessed so He looked to his left and said we're going to Paradise
One look to His left and all is forgiven. One look to His left set him free
One simple glance gave a sinner a chance. With only one look to His left
One day I'll enter Heaven's gate; an appointment we all must keep
With nothing to offer, I'll stand there alone, unworthy to enter a plea
Then Jesus, as promised, will look to His left and say Father the blood is applied
I can show You the place where his sin met My grace Oh Father this one is mine
One look to His left and all is forgiven. One look to His left; I am free
One simple glance gave this sinner a chance. With only one look to His left
Then once and forever, I'll dwell with the Savior
After one look. With only one look to His left
