I think this what you are looking for -

The Heav'ns with praise to the Lord are abounding
His name to bear afar they rejoice
The earth, the sea to His honor are sounding
Give ear O man to nature's voice

The stars above us who is it upholdeth
Who leaders from His tent the sun
He cometh laughing, His glory unfoldeth
A giant who His course would run

The words were written by Christian F. Gellert in 1803

Please can someone put me out if my misery here. I'm trying to remember my old school hymn but it's way over 50 years ago.
I know the hymn starts off with "The Heavens with praise to The Lord are abounding" but I pretty sure that's not the title.

Towards the end of the hymn it goes something like
"A giant who his coarse would run " and repeat.
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
