Sometimes all it takes is a bump, even of a 19 year old thread :)

Here are the lyrics I was able to find.

It's okay to plan tomorrow and to look ahead
A little bit, that is, to see those hungry mouths are fed.
But what a pity to ignore the beauty of right now
To savor every precious minute, if we could learn how.

Chorus:
Consider now the lily that grows across the field;
Such delicate perfection has seldom been revealed.
Tomorrow cannot rob her while she is in her prime
The secret of her beauty is one day at a time.

2.
Help me Lord, to use the strength that you gave me today
For with the setting of the sun it too will slip away.
And you have only promised to lead one step at a time;
Tomorrows' mountains all at once would be too much to climb.

I hope this is it, and that it was worth the wait!

God bless,
Steve

I have this same question. I see the OP was 19 years ago, and the one answer 2 years ago. I wonder if anyone will ever see this.

I am looking for the title and words to an old (probably Methodist) hymn. One of the verses goes something like "Consider now the lilies that grow across the field, their delicate perfection has seldom been revealed ... "
