When peaceful night from earth shuts out the light,
man findeth rest, findeth rest and sleep at last.
Grant that we may at our last day so sleep we pray.

Lord, grant that sleeping I may think on Thee,
and grant that awaking Thine I still might be.
Grant that we may at our last day so wake, we pray.
Amen
