It might be a case of lost media. I couldn't locate a hymn that matches all the words you mentioned exactly. The closest I found includes the lines, "Blessed Jesus, lead us gently by Thy hand, Till we reach the promised land." I hope this helps. Good luck with your search!

“Come and Bless Us The Lord Jesus”

This was definitely an early 1970’s hymn and had a very folksy vibe to it.

“Come and Bless Us The Lord Jesus. Come and give a helping hand. Come and Bless Us the Lord Jesus to help lead us to the Promised Land.”

Another verse was something like “Bless your Church, the Lord Jesus…”
