I'm looking for the lyrics and source of a hymn entitled "Thy Rich Anointing." I believe there are some lines in it concerning prayer, but that is all I can find out about the work so far. I have searched Oremus, cyberhymnal, ethereal classics library, and tagged a couple of choir master friends I have, but I have not been successful in finding this hymn or where it comes from. I think it is African-American in origin, but I have no other information. Former Episcopal Bishop Barbara Harris references it in her book "Parting Words: A Farewell Discourse."
