I saw your search in Grit magazine and did a simple search in Yahoo, leading to this posting. I only found two websites that might help, one with the music to see if it is the tune you remember. Try these:

The words are..."There's a heavenly home way up yonder with Jesus this glory to share, You'll never be lonesome or weary in the home of our Savior up there. Brother, come follow the heavenly path that leads to that home in they sky. Live a life commanded by Him and we'll meet on that shore by and by.
