Alone alone on Calvary He bore the shame and misery Oh wondrous love how could it be that he should

by lovelylane » Mon Jun 08, 2009 5:48 am

I have a 92 year old church member who remembers his grandfather singing this song every Sunday after Sunday School. He has been searching for the lyrics for over twenty years. He thinks it was in an old hymnal by the Cook Publishing Company established in the 1860's. Does anyone recognize it?
THANKS for any help!

Alone alone on Calvary
He bore the shame and misery
Oh wondrous love how could it be
that he should die for even me.
