love me Jesus, love me long

My cousin is looking for a hymn in connection with the funeral for his father. My uncle was singing a hymn with a nurse that he said my grandmother taught him. The refrain contained the words, "love me, Jesus, love me long." None of his siblings is still with us to ask, and we are not familiar with it. Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be?
