Thanks so much for posting this. I needed the lyrics too because I remembered the melody from the Dixie Echoes singing it on their 1970's "Coming On Strong" album.

Not sure if that's what the original poster was asking for. The words appear to be a different song from the one I am familiar with. As for the song midway89 posted, I do have a 1990 Singing News Top 40 Songbook showing that song was written by Joel Hemphill and sung by the Hemphills, ©1989 Family ...
