Hi all
Most of the choruses are in the old Elim chorus books, as well as a basic version of the Fruit Salad song.

Hymns medley - Build your house upon the rock

I remember this from church camp:

When the roll is called up yonder
I'll be walkin' on the King's highway
Tell me the old, old story
I love it better every day

Hal-le-lu-----jah

I will make you fishers of me
if you only follow me
Hallelujah, what a Savior
I'm from sin set
You're from sin set
We're all from sin set free.

Oh my lovin' brother
When the world's on fire
You'll need my Jesus
To be your savior
He'll hide you ever
In the rock of ages
In the rock of ages
Just clef for me

Rock a my soul in the bosom of Abraham
Rock a my soul in the bosom of Abraham
Rock a my soul in the bosom of Abraham
Oh rock a my soul

So high you can't get over it
So low you can't get under it
So wide you can't get around it
You must go in at the door

Oh oh oh rock a my soul.

I found the rest of the words and made come corrections:

When the roll is called up yonder,
I'll be walking down the King's Highway,
Tell me the old, old story,
I love it better every day!
Hallelujah!
I will make you fisher's of men,
If you'll only follow Me.
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
I'm from sin set...
You're from sin set...
We're all from sin set free.
Oh my loving brothers,
When the world's on fire,
You'll need my Jesus,
To be your Savior.
He'll hide you ever,
In the Rock of Ages,
In the Rock of Ages,
Just cleft for me.

Rock a my soul in the bosom of Abraham,
Rock a my soul in the bosom of Abraham,
Rock a my soul in the bosom of Abraham,
Oh, Oh, Oh,
Rock a my soul!
So high, you can't get over it.
So low, you can't get under it.
So wide, you can't get around it,
You gotta go in at the door!
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Rock a my soul!

Hi Pauline,

Is it possible that you are emailing pdf of the music to the Fruit Salad song?

If so, I would appreciate receiving a copy at [email protected]. Thanks so much.

I'm not so sure this is just an Australian thing...my grandfather introduced us to this song when I was about 10 (52 years ago) American. Our version was composed of the titles of songs, and each title used its own tune. I played the music, and we have continued to sing it with the children all through the years, so I'm pretty sure I recall correctly how the tune to our version went, but I would like to know the versions that others recall.

This is the only part of the song we ever sang.

When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder
I'll Be Walking Up the King's Highway
Tell Me the Story of Jesus
I Love Him Better Every Day - ay - ay -ay
I Will Make You Fishers of Men
If You'll Only Follow Me
Hallelujah, What a Saviour
Jesus Belongs to Me.
