Precious Jesus, Precious Jesus--An Old Song

CHO.
Precious Jesus, Precious Jesus,
You're my friend and hope and joy and life to
me;
Precious Jesus, Precious Jesus,
You're my Lord, You belong to me.

1. You're the haven where I rest, You're the strength for every test,
You're the cleft of safety where my soul can hide;
You're the truth for which I long, You're the reason for my song,
Precious Jesus, You're my very breath of life..

(repeat cho.)

As far as I can find out, there is just one verse to this song. The start
out with the chorus then the verse and repeat chorus.

Hopes this helps!

I have the mp3 of the guest looking for " You're the haven where I rest, You're the strength for every test, " It's called "Precious Jesus" but other than that, I have no further information....A friend just shared the mp3 to me and it is a wonderful song :)

'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus
Casting Crowns
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord!"
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!
I'm so glad I learned to trust Him,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend
And I know that He is with me,
Will be with me to the end.
Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood

I went online to search the same...Jesus, Precious Jesus, remembering it from years ago, also. It seemed to me another phrase that was part of the song was ‘near to the heart of God’. There’s a hymn by that name and the refrain ‘Jesus, blest Redeemer’ fits the words and tune perfectly, and so I think this is what I was looking for. Could it be what you were, also?
