On His Knees

My father was well respected, in the town where I was raised
Folks knew that he was honest, he made sure they knew, that he was saved
To me, he was a giant, daddy stood past 6 foot 3.
But my dad was never taller than, when he, was on his knees

Chorus
'Cause on His knees, he fought the battles, with the devil himself
And on his knees, he and Jesus, took care of the family
All the things that he showed me, ever live in my memory
But the one thing I remember most, is daddy on his knees

He stood by what he believed in, He wouldn't back down from a fight
But he always did his fighting, right there at his bedside every night
He never was the hero, to the world he was to me
But I saw a side of daddy that most folks couldn't see

Chorus

SOMETIMES THE ROAD OF LIFE I'M ON
TAKES AN UNEXPECTED TURN
AND I WIND UP IN A VALLEY
FULL OF HEARTACHE AND CONCERN
BUT I NEVER FEAR THE VALLEY
FOR MY SAVIOUR I HAVE FOUND
WHEN I WALK THE JUNGLES OF DISPAIR
JESUS WALKS FAMILURE GROUND.

(chorus)

HE'S BEEN THERE IN THE PRISON
HE'S BEEN THERE IN THE FLAME
IN THE LIONS DEN WITH DANIEL
THERE WITH NOAH IN THE RAIN
AND IN THE WILDERNESS WITH MOSES
IN THE BELLEY OF A WHALE
OH NO MATTER WHERE THE PATH MAY LEAD
JESUS BLAZED THE TRAIL

SOMETIMES I MUST REMIND MY SELF
WHEN I STAND AT TROUBLES DOOR
THERE IS NO STEP THAT I CAN TAKE
WHERE HE HASN'T BEEN BEFORE
HE'S ALWAYS RIGHT BESIDE ME
HE'S MY SHELTER, HE'S MY GUIDE
AND I KNOW I'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
TILL I REACH THE OTHER SIDE

Three Men On A Mountain

Three men on a mountain,
Up on Calvary.
The man in the middle was Jesus
He died for you and me.

Now the man on the left was a sinner man
Dying for his sins.
He could have been forgiven
But He mocked the Lord instead.
"You say you are the Son of God"
"But they nailed you to the tree"
"Come down come down and save us",
"If God your Father be."

Chorus

The man on the right was a sinner too
But he was sorry for his sins.
He begged the Lord's forgiveness
And Jesus said to him.
'Fear not, Fear not this earthly death
Before this day is 'or
You'll be with Me in paradise
On heaven's golden shore.

Chorus
