An old song from my childhood. All I remember is ,Just a piece of driftwood, washed up by sin's dark sea,All you need is Jesus ,to no longer driftwood be.

I don't know the author of this song...it's an old one

Driftwood

I
Have you ever watched the ocean, along the sandy shores,
You'll notice useless bits of wood gather more and more
And souls like pieces of driftwood are cast up at sin's dark sea
But all you need is Jesus, to no longer driftwood be

II
There's a mother's only boy, he's wandered far from home
Sin and lustful pleasures have caused her boy to roam
He's just a piece of driftwood, cast up at sin's dark sea
But all he needs is Jesus, to no longer driftwood be

III
There's the same dear mother's girl, she's struggling through this life
Rough and rugged is her path, full of bitter strife
She's just a piece of driftwood, cast up at sin's dark sea
Yet all she needs is Jesus, to no longer driftwood be

IV
There's an aged and old, old man, his hair is white as snow
God alone can know the seeds this man has sown
He's just a piece of driftwood, cast up at sin's dark sea
But all he needs is Jesus, to no longer driftwood be

V
Now if you're bound by Satan, your life's been marred with sin
You're the one that Jesus loves, no matter where you've been
Just a piece of driftwood, cast up at sin's dark sea
But all you need is Jesus, to no longer driftwood be

This bring back some great memories, it's been years since I've heard it sung, but I can almost hear the sainted lady that sang this in my church.
She'd say, "Let me sing a little more of that..."

I first heard this song 70 years ago at a Pentecostal camp meeting. I had total recall at that time. I can sing the tune.
