I am looking for two hymns with the following words, or
words that are similar.
No. 1 - There are so many hills to climb upward
I often am longing for rest
But the toils of the road will seem nothing
When I come to the end of my way
No. 2 - Lean your head on his loving breast
Come, O come, and he will give you rest

Looking for two hymns - I Get to the End of the Way / Beautiful Words of Jesus
I know the first one: It was one of my dad's favorite songs. The name of it is "When I Get to the End of the Way". It's probably from the 40's or older. I know some of the words, but will try to find and submit.

Looking for two hymns - I Get to the End of the Way / Beautiful Words of Jesus
And I know the second one. Here it is:
Beautiful words of Jesus, spoken so long ago
Yet as we sing them over, dearer to us they grow
Calling the heavy laden, calling to hearts oppressed
"Come unto me ye weary, come I will give you rest."
CHORUS
Hear the call of His voice so sweet
Bring your load to the Saviour's feet
Lean your heart on His loving breast
Come, O come and He will give you rest.
Beautiful words of Jesus, cheering us day by day,
Throwing a gleam of sunshine, over a cloudy way,
Casting on Him the burden, we are too weak to bear,
He will give grace sufficient, He will regard our prayer.
Beautiful words of Jesus, tokens of endless rest,
When by and by we enter into His presence blest,
There we shall see His beauty, meet with Him face to face
There we shall sing His glory, praising His matchless grace.

Looking for two hymns - I Get to the End of the Way / Beautiful Words of Jesus
WHEN I GET TO THE END OF THE WAY
The sands have been washed in the footprints
Of the Stranger on Galilee's shore;
And the voice that subdued the rough billows
Will be heard in Judea no more,
But the path of that lone Galilean,
With joy I will follow today,
And the toils of the road will seem nothing
When I get to the end of the way,
The toils of the road will seem nothing
When I get to the end of the way.
There are so many hills to climb upward,
I often am longing for rest;
But He Who appoints me my pathway,
Knows just what is needful and best.
I know in His Word He hath promised
That my strength it shall be as my day;
He loves me too well to forsake me,
Or give me a trial too much;
His people have been dearly purchased,
And Satan can never claim such.
By and by I shall see Him and praise Him,
In the city of unending day;
When the last feeble steps have been taken,
And the gates of that city appear,
And the beautiful songs of the angels
Float out on my listening ear;
When all that now seems so mysterious,
Will be bright and as clear as the day,
The sands have been washed in the footprints
Of the Stranger on Galilee's shore;
And the voice that subdued the rough billows
Will be heard in Judea no more,
But the path of that lone Galilean,
With joy I will follow today,
And the toils of the road will seem nothing
When I get to the end of the way,
The toils of the road will seem nothing
When I get to the end of the way.
There are so many hills to climb upward,
