Here's what I could come up with:

Christ is coming back to reign upon the earth again,
The saints are looking forward to the morning by and by.
We will have no Satan and no sorrow, fear, or pain.
When morning sweeps across the eastern sky.

Oh happy day in glory when morning sweeps the sky.
I'll bid the world and its sorrow goodbye (Oh, hallelujah)
Saints that are here will be caught up in the air
When morning sweeps across the eastern sky.

I'll be in the rapture with the ones who are supreme
The saints to the morning glory by and by
What a happy meeting, what a mighty jubilee,
When morning sweeps across the eastern sky.

Oh happy day in glory when morning sweeps the sky.
I'll bid the world and its sorrow goodbye (Oh, hallelujah)
Saints that are here will be caught up in the air
When morning sweeps across the eastern sky.

Obviously there are so many parts it's hard to capture every one. I believe sheet music is available in this collection if you're interested:

Thanks!

Steve,
You are awesome..... stars in your crown for typing that whole song for that desperate person. I know how it feels to be hunting a old old song that we sang when I was young and not be able to find it the kids of the quartet sang 1st and we sang this song about a "how a lil acorn made a BIG OAK TREE" I am the only one out of the 5 that rememebers that much. LoL. But you Sir are Awesome for doing that. Yes, it can be found on a million records but there are few people that have vinly players anymore. Its mostly CDs or tapes and tape players are going too. SO GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY,

SteveLiu, I came looking for the parts, because I'd like to learn each of them. However, I noted your lyrics, and I agree with PamHowdy, great job on typing them all out. May I suggest a correction or two?

Christ is coming back to reign upon the earth again,
The saints are looking for the morning by and by.

I'll be in the rapture with the ones who are set free
The saints are looking forward to the morning by and by
What a happy meeting, what a mighty jubilee,
When morning sweeps across the eastern sky.

Oh happy day in glory when morning sweeps the sky.
I'll bid the world and its sorrow goodbye (Oh, hallelujah)
Saints that are here will be caught up in the air
When morning sweeps across the eastern sky.

Also, there's a pretty good Homecoming video on YouTube of this song where the parts are a little more discernable (only a little, but hey...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j_Vjw_WXjI
Ben Speer gets Bill's goat pretty good, too... :)

Al

P.S. Now if someone would just break down the chorus like the Statesmen did (and Ernie Hass did again) for Heavenly Parade.

And here's the Triumphant Quartet doing it acapella (sometimes easier for a few folks to pick parts out of) however, they've changed the opening line. I also noted that the Johnathans changed the opening line (but not the same as TQ), so this old song may be one of those that has been passed by word of mouth (literally) so many times that the lyrics are beginning to morph a little.

As a major harmony fan, this song has become one of my favorites. It makes me think of the Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver song "Just Over in Heaven" which had the staggered harmony, but had five parts. Goes to show you, when God does something to your life, there is never enough words to be said.

Al, as for the Heavenly Parade:

Heavenly Parade
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhhKlvrhZdg

Verse 1 (EHSS)
Our traveling days will soon be over here and
We shall cross the rolling tide
For we're not here for just a little while;
Our home is on the other side
Ambassadors, too, for Jesus our redeemer;
And it is a love's crusade
For right against wrong,
But soon we'll join the throng,
In heaven when the saints parade.

2 Tenor (EHSS - Ryan Seaton):
For Heaven's King, we gladly sing
this story, old yet ever new,
In glory land, with that glad band
We'll promenade, in Heaven's parade.

1 Tenor (EHSS - Ernie Haase):
For Heaven's king, we will gladly sing this story.
Sweet story, old, and yet 'tis ever new.
In the glory land, with the glad and happy band, yes,
We'll promenade, in Heaven's grand parade.

Baritone (EHSS - Doug Anderson):
Oh Heaven's king of glory, we will gladly sing this story,
Wonderful story, 'tis old, yet 'tis ever new.
In gloryland up yonder with that glad and happy band
We all, then we'll promenade, in Heaven in that grand parade.

Bass (EHSS - Tim Duncan):
For heaven's only king, For Heaven's Holy king,
With the grandest shout and sing.
Oh, the blessed old story, singing for His glory,
Yet 'tis old yet 'tis ever new,
In the Gloryland there up yonder in the air
With that eternal happy band,
We'll promenade there and never know a care
In Heaven when the saints parade

Verse 1 (Cathedrals)
Our traveling days will soon be over here and
We shall cross the rolling tide
For we're not here for just a little while;
Our home is on the other side
Ambassadors, true, for Jesus our redeemer;
And it is a love's crusade
For right against wrong,
But soon we'll join the throng,
In heaven when the saints parade.

Verse 2 (Cathedrals)
So happy are we in telling you, my friend,
that Jesus can redeem your soul
From every known sin and make you pure within
Join billions of you then will roll
A happy new song you will begin to sing
To Jesus, He the way hath made
To Gloryland there, we'll have a mansion there,
And join us when the saints parade.

At 43:52, they begin singing their individual parts of the
chorus.

Bass (Cathedrals - George Younce)
For heaven's own king, For Heaven's Holy king,
So gladly we will shout and sing.
A blessed old story, singing to His glory,
Old yet it's ever new,
In the Gloryland there up yonder in the air
With that eternal happy band,
We'll promenade there and never know a care
In Heaven when the grand parade.

2 Tenor (Cathedrals - Glen Payne):
For Heaven's King, we gladly sing
This story, old yet ever new,
In glory land, with that glad band
We'll promenade, in Heaven's parade.

Baritone (Cathedrals - Scott Fowler):
Oh Heaven's king of glory, we will gladly will sing this story,
Wonderful story, 'tis old, yet 'tis ever new.
In gloryland up yonder with that glad and happy band
We all, then we'll promenade, in Heaven in the grand parade.

1 Tenor (Cathedrals - Ernie Haase):
For Heaven's king, we will gladly sing this story.
Sweet story, old, and yet 'tis ever new.
In glory land, with the glad and happy band, yes,
We'll promenade, in Heaven's grand parade.
