I know that Skeeter Davis a contry singer recorded the song at one time. I do not know if she is still alive or not.

Skeeter Davis did a couple of country songs I remember. I didn't know she did any hymns, but I love the one with the lyrics above. I have the words but not the music. Any idea where I could get the sheet music?

Harriett Buell wrote the words for A Child of the King one Sunday morning while walking home from her Methodist church service. She sent her text to the Northern Christian Advocate, and it was printed in the February 1, 1877 issue.

1. My Father is rich in houses and lands,
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold.
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.
