I Hope this is hte one you are looking for. It's called He's Alive by Heirline

Once I went walking down a long, lonely road,
I thought I, I had no one who would share my heavy load.
Then my mind went soaring back to a place I had never been
and I realized that I was standing at the foot of my king.

There were three lonely crosses on a hillside that day
and as I looked at my Savior, I cried Lord, take me away.
There was blood flowing down, and thorns pierced His head
But He cried, "Father forgive", and then my Savior was dead.

Well, I stood there in silence, thinking Lord, how can this be?
That your beloved son, He gave His life just for me.
Oh, then I heard a sweet voice whisper, "Child lift up your head,
For the one that you see hanging there, Well, Jesus, he's not dead."

He's alive...He's alive! No, death could not hold Him
He's alive...He's alive! Oh the stone it was rolled away
Satan thought He'd won the battle when Jesus died on that tree
Oh but Jesus came back from the grave, and He won the victory.

He's alive...He's alive! No, death could not hold Him
He's alive...He's alive! Oh the stone it was rolled away
Satan thought He'd won the battle when Jesus died on that tree
Oh, but my Jesus came back from the grave, and He won the victory

Yes, Jesus came back from the grave, and He won the victory
He is alive

also her is three wooden crosses by Randy travis

A farmer and a teacher, a hooker and a preacher,
Ridin' on a midnight bus bound for Mexico.
One's headed for vacation, one for higher education,
An' two of them were searchin' for lost souls.
That driver never ever saw the stop sign.
An' eighteen wheelers can't stop on a dime.

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows.
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.

That farmer left a harvest, a home and eighty acres,
The faith an' love for growin' things in his young son's heart.
An' that teacher left her wisdom in the minds of lots of children:
Did her best to give 'em all a better start.
An' that preacher whispered: "Can't you see the Promised Land?"
As he laid his blood-stained bible in that hooker's hand.

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows.
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.

That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday.
As he held that blood-stained bible up,
For all of us to see.
He said: "Bless the farmer, and the teacher, an' the preacher;
"Who gave this Bible to my mamma,
"Who read it to me."

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, now I guess we know.
It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway.

Sorry for taking so long here you are

Three Wooden Crosses

and Three different people were to die
Am C Am
There were Two who deserved their execution
Am G Em Am
But the third took the place of you and I
Am C G Am

A C G Am
On Each side hung a Murderer and a robber
C G Em Am
Men who were paying for their crime

Oh the one he was bitter in his scorning
If you're God bring us all down from the cross
But his tears were his Sentence , No one saved him
So he died and for ever more was lost
But the second turned and somehow in his dying
He cried Master please remember me
Oh today you shall be with me in glory
And from sin shall eternally be free

So the state of mankind is now before us
It's two halves divided there by God
There are some who accept and love our saviour
There are some who despise the ground he trod
There's a free choice to take him or reject him
Like the thief it is all you have to do
Oh my friends no one else can give the answer
On which side of Calvary's cross are you

On which side of Calvary's cross are you

Hello, the song is called "Three Crosses" and first appeared on "Alive" for Key records KL 002 and then on "Movin' Over, Movin' On" Pilgrim records JLP 160. It's also featured in the Roger & Jan Songbook.
Three small errors in the above lyrics:
V1 last line should be "crimes"
V2 first line should be "There was one who was bitter..."
V2 fifth line "But the next turned..."

Not bad though, I guess that's just the "folk process"!
