Hymn sung at my wedding ...........

I have been searching and thinking, thinking and searching for the words to a hymn sung at my wedding nearly 40 years ago.
I can remember the words were so beautiful, so apt. My son is getting married and I would love to show him this hymn.
I have very little to go on......
Very short hymn, 4 words on each line, 4 lines in each verse and I think 4 verses. I remember being asked which tune I wanted it sung to, there were 3 options, so it must have been well known at that time but it escapes me. I remember it so well apart from the words and the tune. !!!!
Can anyone help open that corner of my brain that is so elusive?
