Glory Land

I once had the lyrics to this Southern Gospel song called Glory Land. I have misplaced them and need them again to sing in church. The words that I remember are: "On this glory road we're traveling, many times we stumble on our way. Praise the Lord I'll soon be leaving for that land of perfect peace and endless days. (Chorus: Now I can see the lights of home, and I can see Him on His throne. I'm too near to turn back now. Oh, praise the Lord, I'm Heaven bound....: That is about all that I can remember.... but I need the rest.
Bless you for your help!

THE GLORY ROAD
by Higher Ground Trio

Is this road you're traveling
Dark, deserted, or dim?
Is there hope for tomorrow?
Put your trust in Him.

On this Glory Road I'm traveling,
Many times I stumbled on my way.
Praise the Lord, I'll soon be leaving
To that land of perfect peace and endless day.

I can see the lights of home;
I can see Him on His throne.
And I'm too near to turn back now,
Oh praise the Lord, I'm Heaven bound.

When my journey here shall end
I'll say goodbye to this world of friends.
In that fair land, I'll take my stand;
It's good to be on this road for Glory Land.

Oh I can see the lights of home;
I can see Him on His throne.
And I'm too near to turn back now,
Oh praise the Lord, I'm Heaven bound.

When my journey here shall end
I'll say goodbye to this world of friends.
In that fair land, I'll take my stand;
It's good to be on this road for glory,
On this road for glory,
On this road for Glory Land.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Love this song, however, one correction needs to be made....

When my journey here shall end
I'll say goodbye to this world of SIN.
In that fair land, I'll take my stand;
It's good to be on this road for glory,
On this road for glory,
On this road for Glory Land.

Everytime you sing this verse, it is SIN not FRIENDS that we are saying goodbye to!! :)

The Cathedral Quartet had an AWESOME rendition of this song! Glen Payne's face lit up as he sang lead on that one. Maybe there's a YouTube or some other video--if you can find a copy, or video, it's classic.
