Cups of cold water
Hi, i'm just wondering if anyone has got the lyrics to the song 'cups of cold water'. Many thanks
Cups of cold water
Hi Jollyjummy, Like many hymns that are requested, this one was written by John W. Peterson. Unfortunately, I can't find it in any of my hymnals. Perhaps someone reading this can post the lyrics? If all else fails, I did find that the lyrics and music are available in this hymnal, edited by Mr. Peterson: Praise - Our Songs and Hymns Good luck!Steve

Please Steve, could you please help me find out if the hymn book is words and music or words only. Thanks.
Cups of cold water
I too am trying to find this song. "Cups of Cold Water"
I sang it in the late 70's...it came out of a Cantata book...may have been Peterson. I do not remember the name on the front of the book. Also, because I'm now 68 my memory isn't the best.
First line is all I remember...Cups of cold water given in Jesus' name...

The song "Cups of Cold Water" comes from a contata written by John W. Peterson called "Love and Kindness" . It was published by Singspiration and copyrighted in 1976. At the time, Singspiration was a division of Zondervan
Corp. It has lyrics to go with the music. If you can't find a copy of it, I can print the words off for you here but I can't do anything for you with the score.

Cups of Cold Water
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Healing the widows and orphans in their needs,
Healing the sick ones and binding hearts that bleed,
Feeding the hungry this we must surely do.
By this we serve Him and demonstrate His love.
CHORUS:
Cups of cold water, given in Jesus' name,
Cups of cold water are never given in vain.
Someday in heaven when we meet the Lord,
Each deed of kindness will bring a rich reward.
Sharing the Gospel with sinners gone astray,
Holding the light up so they can find the way,
Lifting the fallen this we must surely do,
If to our calling as Christians we are true.
Repeat CHORUS
